Hi heres a card made for Wendy's challenge we had to take inspiration from the photo she posted i had just bought a set of Inkadinkidoo fairy stamps so decided to use one. The image i stamped onto white card and coloured in with water pencils and Sakura pens i printed a feather background onto acetate which i attached to the card using brads i cut a scalloped oval plus a plain oval using robo the larger oval i stamped a pattern round using pink ink then put it through the cuttlebug using the swiss dots folder the smaller oval i used a flower embossing folder to emboss it then attached a piece of the leftover printed acetate to it using a brad you can just make out the embossed flower behind the acetate the fairy is attached with silicone glue the word friends is a brad i also added a strip of lace with a piece of ribbon over it

a bit of a play about

ooh thought i'd show you this my daughters friend came in and handed me the foil wrapping off her packet of mints and said can you do anything with this i'd just bought some of the cuttlebug disney folders and the blue reminded me of cinderellas dress i know it didnt quite fit but thought i'd see how it would turn out i used the sakura glaze pens to colour in the hair and face and to highlight parts of the dress its not attached to the background just put it there for something for it to lean against im thinking a pair of drapes to cover up where theres parts of the image missing think i should treat myself to a box of chocolates to see how the wrappers would take in the smaller embossing folders now theres an idea lol

Cute companions number stamps

Hi all been having another play this time havent printed directly from the cute companions cd used the jpegs instead the background paper with the mice i made using a crop from one of my cards as theres no mice images on it there only available as the stamps theres some great papers on it though the alphabet and the scenery decoupage can be used for various other things the number stamps are a good size would be ok with shrink plastic aswell this card i made the mouse background cropping it to a square and copying it to a blank A4 size sheet i then went into the cd through photo plus which i then cut a larger square of contrasting paper and pasting that with the other background sheet then copying one of the ribbons and adding a white text with a shadow i cut and pasted it with the others then uzing the freesize button sized it to the length of the smaller background then rotated it so it would fit on the A4 sheet lastly i took some of the buttons and added them to the sheet so i had everything except a topper on the sheet to print out i put the card together then stamped and heat embossed the number and today which i then used sakura glaze pens to colour in finally i put them upside down in the xyron to tack the front and covered them in glamour dust to give them a sparkle ive used border peel offs just to neaten the edges and a clear sakura pen to highlight the wording and add a bit glitz to the buttons im off to do an ATC i think thanks for stopping by

back to shadows cd

Hi i had to do a card for a friend on the cc forum dont know how many attempts i tried to get a proper photo of this but the glitter effect card in the background wasnt having it managed 2 views but still not the colour its supposed to be the image and background paper are from the dancing with shadows cd printed onto acetate the wings were coloured with Sakura stardust pens even printed the greeting out for a change and then attached to a piece of dufex card with some glue dots at the back of the fairies and a brad fastened through to secure it which was then stuck to a piece of satin effect paper which was matted on to a piece of purple mirricard the corners are from a cuttlebug die

Dancing with shadows mark 2

hi Again i must admit ive had this cd for a while and only used it the once love the images i was a bit unsure of some of the papers but once there put together they really do work with this one having the colour in with it it really stands out on the black background just highlighted the pink flowers again with a sakura gelly roll pen and raised the lady by cutting her out of another print and sticking her on apart from that its just basic matting and layering no embellishments just peel offs i was going to do another one but just been asked to put some videos on I.pod gonna have to clear some of my stuff to get the video files on the pc to convert them for my hubbies mate

Hi all didn,t get round to doing a Tall story card yet got side tracked looking through cds for images imade this card with images and paper from the Joanna Sheen Dancing with Shadows i wasn't sure of the paper until i got the card together the pink card was put through the cuttlebug swirls folder everything was matted and layered onto black card with a tiny wavy peel off around the greeting is a peel off stuck onto black card and cut round the flowers highlighted with a pink Sakura gel pen with a gem on each of them the flower at the top is one off the cuttlebug border die flowers left from another card with a pink gem brad through Ialso highlighted parts of the dress and the carnation with a mixture of Sakura gelly roll and stardust pens all in all rather pleased with this one its so bright looking but for some reason keep thinking off liquorice allsorts lol thanks again for popping by

Tuesday, 22 January 2008

Hi i havent done many cards been playing with inkscape trying too get to grasp with the programme for my Robo which i got in june and havent really bothered with im eagerly waiting arrival of the new Glitter Girls Open Hearts and Tall stories board too have a bash with so thought id better have a go of the last one i got another one of those things you buy and put to one side and never get round to using so does Craft addiction come under the catergory of shopaholic or hoarding think it feeds both in other words got to have it even though theres no where to put it lol I made this Card using the Celebration board just love the shape of the frame and it was made from pieces of card from my bit box so the only A4 sheet of card i used was for the card itself the frame fitted perfect round the pyrimage i did when i did the previous card just Embelished with a bit of gold Sakura pen to highlight and some gems and peel offs and a tassle i had intended on putting some floral eyelets i bought ages ago but as usual cant find them when you need them so i'd already put the holes in so used the copper effect ones so it matches in with the colour of the card well ive got to go clear my scraps up now thanks for popping by
