In the pink

Hi All sorry haven't been about much not had much time to myself just about recovered from a dose of flu just this cough to try and shift had some more bad news the other day my Sisters youngest son Michael went in for an operation on his hip operation was a success but sadly he didn't come round from the anaesthetic he was 35 .
Jacks teething have nicknamed him Jaws you should see the way he lunges himself to try get something in his mouth he gets a dose of earache with it so quite a few screaming matches of late bless him but otherwise he's coming on leaps and bounds seems like an age since i managed to get a card done and it's pink again have bought quite a few new stamps plus some new pens to try get my mojo going i've used one of the Suger nellie Gorjuss girl stamps from Funky kits the striped backing paper is from my stash the polkadot paper and label from a free digi download from Delicious scraps sentiment is an Inkadinkadoo stamp embellishments from my stash oh and i used a border punch on the polka dot paper i don't know where the times going 5 past 10 and haven't got the washing in yet no volunteers so best DIY

Wendy's sketch challenge 17

Hi just made this card using Wendy's sketch don't think i'll get caught up with them at the moment with this one you had to use the floral paper image on the card which i matted onto black card the base paper and label are from a digi kit download from Delicious scraps the butterfly is one of my new stamps from inkadinkadoo stamped with versa mark and heat embossed with super sparkle embossing powder i changed the colour of the floral paper to get the flowers which i cut out and sprayed with crafters companion silver spray & sparkle i also added 2 pearls to the centre

Tear drop card

Hi just finished making this tear drop card the main background paper is a download from Flashgraphics just love it i used some snowflake paper for the inside of the card the verse is on the bookmark i made a pocket for the bookmark using what was left over from the main paper the image on the card is from the Pamela West cd just matted onto a scalloped oval cut with robo and embossed using the swiss dots folder i put an eyelet in to put some beading through then attached it to the card using a bow and some foam pads.

New background

Hi just thought i'd have a go at making my own background using elements from Summer's Memories Digital scrapbook kit she has some brilliant kits on her blog well worth a look think i'd better shuffle of to bed now it's nearly 4 in the morning
Have also gave my header a bit of a lift using pieces from different kits will have to look for the files as i was just using things willy nilly so will add links for the blogs to which kits i used

Wendy's Sketch challenge 31

Hi all just finished Wendy's Sketch the papers and images are from a free download Digital scrapbook kit i got from Delicious Scraps she does some gorgeous kits i had a play in my graphics programme to make the topper its not layered just added a shadow effect the tree was run through the xyron image face down for to glitter it no glittering my fingers i made two mats using left over paper and added the word noel using peel offs the charms at the bottom are gold mirricard cut with a cuttlebug die

Wendy's inspirational Challenge

Hi all heres the first of the cards made for Wendy's challenge not a sketch have to take inspiration from a couple of pics she posted this week i made the topper using elements from a digiscrap kit using a frame and layering it over the backing sheet then adding the heart i printed it out twice to layer the frame and the heart the backing papers are also from the Kit i used a border punch for the lace edging the get well soon is mirricard cut with a cuttlebug die
